The end of Chapter 1/The Paris days

Bonjour!

Katy and I have arrived in Paris and can't wait for the day ahead.
So much to see, so much money to lament spending! We have been so lucky with the weather so far in this trip, and today is no exception. A surprisingly pleasant temperature and a beautiful day ahead in Paris.

I am looking forward to completely embarrassing myself as i attempt to speak understandable french -- it's the only way to improve!

We had an awesome few days as Nathan has written. A big night (for some) on saturday at the Meh-hican (Mexican) bar, red and green. We were all surprised that it was so good because after viewing the website Katy sent around, i think everyone was expecting an early night. No matter what Katy says, however, the night did not end up messily - and i survived the bus trip to Islington.

On Saturday day Nathan and I emptied our wallets as we were completely blown away by Oxford St. I'm not really someone who enjoys the shopping experience, but the sheer amount of awesome (and surprisingly well priced) clothes at topshop and others could have left me a lot poorer. I managed to leave with a cheap pair of jeans and awesome coat. I love my coat, but it is nothing to the love nathan expressed about his. Katy, Jennifer, Nat and I heard about "how awesome" his coat was every few seconds for at least the next few hours -- but it's nice to know it was money well spent!

Speaking of Jen and Nat, we had an awesome catch up sess with them. Nat, Nath and I went out for dinner on Thursday (i think) and the old times began immediately -- it was like no time at all had passed. We walked around charing cross (i think... correct me if i'm wrong nat) and all the restaurants before going to see the new 007 (pretty disappointing -- where was the climax?!). On the way, Nathan knocked over someones bike and nat and i walked away quickly as he attempted to put it up. We ended up just running!

On Friday, Nath and I met nat for lunch and in the evening met up Jen -- who we haven't seen for almost 12 months! It was a nice moment -- actually pretty stereotypical -- Nat, Nath and I (after a pretty ordinary dinner at some Indian place) saw her from a distance at the trainstation and so we all ran in for a big group hug (aww). Jen gave us some practical gifts which basically was gummy bears and a tiny bottle of jager (i had no idea how to spell that, i had to ask katy). These gifts, particularly the jeger, were invaluable in the bars. Drinks are damn expensive!!

Anyway, the computer is flashing warning me that i only have 2 minutes remaining. Sorry if i barely make sense. I'm trying to get as much as i can down before i forget!
