Hmmmmm. This internet cafe is scary.

It's been a while our beloved readers. Much has happened -- toooo much has happened since our last blog (and certainly mine says nick) and so we will endeavour to update you as quickly as possible - mostly because the internet cafe in which we write this is filled with complete freggin freaks. One crazy guy 2 computers down is engrossed in 'girls gone bad'.

But anyway, here goes.

We all left Germany after an awesome Christmas. Timmy enjoyed some family time in Stuttgart while nathan and i hung out with my cool, yet really crazy German cuz's in Dusseldorf. I'm just going to leave it at that and hope that in a few days we get enough time to go into our christmas experiences further...

So anyway, nathan and i left for Paris on the 27th and after arriving at the hostel we discovered that we only had accomadation booked for the 28th... oops.
We were incredibly lucky and the hostel had cancellations... so we didnt have to sleep on the streets! yaay!

Tim was delayed... lol... and so he met up with us, tired and looking a little crazy, on the 28th with nat (aka ratatata). We had an awesome time together. I cant really describe all our shinnanigans and i can't really be bothered at this point. Basically we met some really cool people, walked multiple times to the eiffel tower (it was sooo close to our hostel) and did all the touristy stuff that we missed out in Paris: Round 1.

New Years was awesome but maybe a little anti-climatical. There was no countdown. Just a massive massive crowd on the Champs drinking and setting off cheap fireworks. There was cops and gangs everywhere and we all had the feeling that at any moment a spark could cause a riot or something. Nat, Nath, Tim and I met up with a few other Aussies and the combination of our yelling and Australian flags, we soon gathered a massive crowd of Australians. This had its advantages and disadvantages because within this crowd were a few freaks that were following us all night and probably hoping to take advantage of our drunkeness.

Anyway, im getting sick of typing. So we'll fill in the details later. Pointform time:

After Paris, we left for Belgium.
It wasn't easy though because this stupid ticket lady told us there was no way to get to Brussels using our Eurail.
Stupid lady was wrong.
We were about to just jump on a train without a reservation when Delphine (a nice traino worker) showed us a less stressful way to arrive.
We arrived at Brugge.
We didn't know where our hostel was or even the name. When will we learn?
Nathan was pissy.
haha.
Brugge was awesome. An amazing, beautiful city. We'll post photos later.
We played beer pong at the hostel with some really cool American girls and English guy.
I (Nick) and partner Alec was the ultimate champions.
Tim and I continued the night with some underground bars.
Our new best friends continued to entertain and we arrived home at 5am tired but incredibly happy.
The next day we got up at 9am! Impressive hey!
We hired bikes and felt like locals as we took in the city on our two spinning wheels (apparently worth 440 euro! hah!)
Another awesome day.
More awesome food.
More awesome company.
you get the idea.
The next day we continued our journey and arrived in Amsterdam.
Our hostel was dead centre of the red light district and is a little... strange... especially its occupents.
As much as i love Amsty, im kinda sick of the red-light-ness. Its just pretty dirty after a while... and i can't escape the smell of drugs. We get waves of it everrrrywhere.
Nathan and i had a fitful sleep because of the snorer in our room. It was literally disgusting. It sounded like he was choking on his own mucus. I think nathan described it as donald duck being strangled.

*at this point i would like to let you know that 'girls gone wild' guy is making strange up and down movements on his seat... we are leaving...*

so very very quickly now.

We have done like 20 tours here and amsty is a fascinating city!!
Really is way more then the red light district!
We'll update more soon but im scared and really want to leave.

See you guys.

Miss you all.
